Now, I developed this tonic so that I could mask the smell and flavor of the vinegar for drinking, as well as add a great deal of other health benefits from natural sources. Are you suffering from arthritis/ joint pain, asthma, allergies, digestive issues, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, illness, etc.? This drink has a wealth of nutrients, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, and many other health benefits to alleviate symptoms for all of the above, and tastes awesome!
**If you are currently on prescription medications, or have any kind of condition, disease, etc., then please consult with a physician before adding ACV to your diet!
This delicious black leaf Chai tea also contains extra cinnamon, honey, ACV, orange zest, and some coconut milk. It's incredibly spicy and tangy, lightly sweetened from the natural honey, and the coconut milk adds amazing flavor, and a silky smooth touch to balance the tonic out! (Regular dairy milk, and almond milk, will curdle due to the acid from the vinegar.) This tea warms you from the inside out- giving you zen and energy! Drink this tonic 1-2 times a day for a healthy start to the year! **For extra "warming" effect, and to speed up metabolism, add a bit of cayenne pepper during steeping.
Yield: 1 cup or glass of hot or iced tea
1 bag of Chai tea (any variety is totally fine!)
8- 10oz. of hot water
1 cinnamon stick (or a sprinkle or 2 of extra ground cinnamon)
1/4 t. fresh orange zest
**optional- sprinkle of cayenne pepper
1 t. honey
2 T. ACV (**unpasteurized is best, but regular apple cider vinegar is fine as well!)
2-4T. Coconut milk
1) Super easy! Using a teapot, or microwave, heat 8-10oz. of water until simmering. Place the Chai tea bag in your mug, and carefully pour in the water. Place a cinnamon stick in the cup, along with some orange zest. (Orange zest is optional, but the oil extracted adds flavor and healing properties as well- not to mention incredible aroma and flavor!) Steep the tea for at least 4 min. Remove the tea bag, and add the honey. Allow the tea to cool for a few minutes, then add the ACV, and the coconut milk, and stir well. ***It's important not to add the ACV when the tea is too hot, as it may destroy some of it's important benefits. Serve warm with the cinnamon stick for an added flair, or, you can chill the tea for a bit in the refrigerator and serve cold in a glass with ice added.
